Z-2500 HIGH AND LOW GREY CASTING Z- 2005
TEMPERATURES
WITH HIGH STRENGTH
Description: Description:
A special, Nickel-based electrode for welding INCONEL 625, CrNiMo steels, for High strength nickel electrode .for welding lamellar malleable and nodular grey cast
high temperatures and creep resisting steels. Also suitable for heat resisting and iron for welding cast iron to steel. Weld deposit is machine-able.
cryogenic materials, dissimilar joint and low alloy problematic steels.
Highly resistans to hot cracking. Uses:
• Pump castings, engine blocks, water jackets.
Uses: • Broken parts from gray cast iron.
• High-temperature process ovens.
• Hard-to-weld steel. Technique and Recommendations:
• High-alloy steel. Clean the welding area by grinding. if the welding area was contaminated by oil heat
• Conditions of severe corrosion. the area until it turns red.
To open cracks use Z-2001 gouging electrode.
Welding position: To reduce the danger of new crack, if possible weld a layer of the weld deposit on
both sides of the parts you want to join and then join the parts by welding on the
welded layers.
Try to reduce to minimum the heat input by using low amperage and welding short
ASME: 1G 2F 2G 3G 4G stringer weld beads with approx. 50mm length.
ISO 6947 PA PB PC PF PE Remove the slag immediately after welding and peen the deposit to release the
stress.
Mechanical Properties: Reignite on the weld and not on the base metal.
