Z-2600 LOW ALLOY HEAT WELDING HEAVY Z- 2601
 TREATABLE STEELS MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT

          Description:
Basic coated electrode for welding low alloy steels with
high yield strength. Suitable for welding T1 steels, HY80
steels and quenched-tempered fine grained steels.
 Description:
Electrode for welding tool steels which can be thermally treated to improve Uses:
mechanical properties. • Fabricating and repairing heavy mechanical equipment.
A minimal amount of Hydrogen in the welding material enables crack free welding . • Earth working equipment.
          • Machinery parts.
 Uses: • Tractor parts.
 • SAE 8630. • Welding high yield steels.
 • SAE 4130. • HYPERACTIVITY 80.
 • SAE 4340. • USS-T1.
Technique and Recommendations: • USS-T1A, etc.
When base metal thickness is bigger than 6 mm the steel should be pre-warmed
to 250°C and welding should be performed immediately. the interpass temperature Technique and Recommendations:
should be maintained at 250ºC. Thinner material should be warmed if rapid cooling Verify proper re-drying of the electrode.
is suspected. Thoroughly clean rust, paint and dirt, preferably by grinding.
A short arc should be maintained with a seam no wider than the thickness of the Metal to be welded should be dry.
