ER80S-D2 contains 0.5 percent molybdenum for increased strength and a high level of deoxidiziers (Mn and Si) to control porosity when welding with CO2 as the shielding gas.
It will give radiographic quality welds with excellent bead appearance in both ordinary and difficult-to-weld carbon and low-alloy steels.
ER80S-D2 exhibits excellent out-of-position welding characteristics with the short circuiting and pulsed arc processes.
