Description and Application

Low hydrogen electrode with basic coating. The special formula of the coating makes it possible to prevent moisture absorption during exposure to environmental conditions. The electrode is designed for retouching critical constructions for the high reliability applications. In welding, the welder’s metal is obtained with excellent mechanical properties and the ability to absorb energy at low temperatures. The welding is characterized by a soft and uniform arc, easy removal of slag and excellent geometry of the seam.

Weldable steels (base metals):
Structural steels, steels of fine grain size, steels for the production of individual pressure vessels, high pressure bundles, steels for application in the field of shipping.

Coating type: basic
The welding current: straight, the electrode is positive polarity DC+
Welding modes: all modes except – vertical downwards.

Content of diffusive hydrogen in the weld metal:

< 4 ML / 100 GR

The electrode is supplied in a layered metallic vacuum package, moisture absorption by the electrode coating is less than 0.4% by weight under exposure conditions of 80% relative humidity and a condition of 27 degrees Celsius for 9 consecutive hours.
