WELDING HEAVY MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT
DESCRIPTION
Basic coated electrode for welding low alloy steels with high yield strength. Suitable for welding T1 steels, HY80 steels and quenched-tempered fine grained steels.
APPLICATION
- SAE 8630.
- Fabricating and repairing heavy mechanical equipment.
- Earth working equipment.
- Machinery parts.
- Tractor parts.
- Welding high yield steels.
- HYPERACTIVITY 80.
- USS-T1.
- USS-T1A, etc.

Technique and Recommendations
Verify proper re-drying of the electrode. Thoroughly clean rust, paint and dirt, preferably by grinding. Metal to be welded should be dry. To prevent stress concentrations, depressions should be filled and sharp corners should be grounded.
