Technique and recommendations:
Before welding all oil, grease, and dirt should be removed. Preheat massive pieces ( more than 6mm of thickness) to 150-250°C. The best results are achieved when welding with a short arc and the electrode angled 90° to the piece to be welded. Use fast travel speed, remove slag after each pass. In post-welding cleaning, the resistant oxide layer should be removed with a non-contaminated stainless steel brush. Afterwards the welded area should be rinsed with clean, hot water. * Aluminum electrodes are very sensitive to humidity pick up, therefore keep the opene tins in a dry place. * Can also be used with an oxygen torch. * the electrode can be welded on small inverters with high O.C.V only.
